Punch buggy! No return!

Remember this saying? Your kids are probably still using it. We must actually cause a few injuries since we have a punch buggy, but a yellow one. Viva la Verve's Week 2 Sketch was the perfect inspiration for me. I decided to use this little VW bug for a 5 year old friend's birthday card. When I was putting the card together, I thought of that old saying and saw that it would go perfectly on the little banner. I had a lot of fun stamping a little background paper in different colours using "Birthday Wishes" from Verve's Make a Statement set.

Card ingredients:

Stamps: Papertrey Ink Enjoy the Ride, Verve Make a Statement
Paper: PTI white, SU! real red, We R Memory Keepers DP
Ink: SU! real red, pumpkin pie, summer sun, old olive, PTI ocean tides, versafine onyx black
Accessories: PTI die, felt letter stickers, dimensionals, circle nesties
Other: punch buggy saying printed out in Word

Enjoy the ride!

I just got back from a fabulous week in Montreal with my daughter where we visited some dear friends. We had so much fun visiting the sights, drinking wonderful coffee (for me ~ yummy juices for her), relaxing, and people watching. We even squeezed in a weekend to Quebec City.

Here is one of the cards that I made during my Splitcoaststampers Dare to Get Dirty 37 challenge extravaganza. I thought the card went well with the trip theme.

Love these Papertrey Ink images and sentiments. The background stamp is one that my friend Maureen gave me ~ it made it easy to coordinate the colours.

Card Ingredients:

Stamps: PTI Enjoy the Ride, All Night Media BG stamp
Paper: SU! kraft, pacific point, PTI cream
Ink: SU! pacific point, versafine onyx black
Accessories: button, red twine, dimensionals

Enjoy your day!

Thanxso much....

This past week I challenged myself to finish all 37 challenges organized by the Dirty Dozen and Dirty Dozen alumni at Splitcoaststampers for the "Dare To Get Dirty" event. I left it a little late, so I ended up completing them all over a 4 day period. It was so much fun. I loved all the different challenges these talented women put together. I will definitely mark this on my calendar for next year.

Here is one of my cards using a retired Stampin' Up stamp set, Farm Fresh. I love these funny takes on fruit box labels. I used another retired SU! background stamp, French Script, on the glassine bag. Next time, I think that I will use a slightly darker ink as it is difficult to see on the glassine bag.

Card ingredients:

Stamps: SU! Farm Fresh, French Script, Verve Sweet Scallop Tag
Ink: versafine onyx black, SU! reinkers, Ranger Distress ink, SU! whisper white
Paper: PTI cream, SU! choc chip, Cosmo Cricket and October Afternoon DP
Other: Wilton doily, SU! seam binding, PTI felt, beautiful blooms dies, Verve sweet scallop die, PTI glassine bag, kaiser pearl

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

I knew that I wanted to use my new-to-me PTI set Enjoy the Ride for my dad for his birthday card; we had a black Volkswagen Beetle growing up. I browsed through the SplitcoastStampers gallery and found a great card by Kerry J, so I cased it!  Here is a link to her blog post. The paper was perfect, as my parents recently went on a trip to London. I just changed a couple of things on the card.

Card ingredients:

Stamps: PTI Enjoy the Ride
Ink: versafine onyx black
Paper: PTI cream, SU! old olive, October Afternoon Thrift Shop and Go Fly a Kite DP
Accessories: PTI die, SU! ribbon, dimensionals

Mojo Monday Congrats...

The Mojo Monday 200 sketch this week was perfect for a congratulations card that I wanted to make for my sister. The only thing is, I tilted the square panel to make the notepaper look like it would be on a desk... She just finished her special education diploma, so I wanted something that had to do with school on the card.

Here it is:
